"Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy" review
To sum this game up in 1 word it would be brilliant, but brilliant doesnt cover it fully. This game from the moment you start to play does not stop the ongoing mind numbing puzzles that are either easy for the elite puzzle solvers, or very hard for those who dont think exactly the same way. But this game is not just about puzzles, this is also about action and advenure. The adventure to find the missing crowns of Eygpt in at least 5 unimaginable worlds not set on Earth at all, but in a very original mythology where the Eyptians didnt just rule part of one world, but many, where the Gods they worship are either trying to cause mayhem, good, or neither.
The main story of the game is split in 2, which evntually comes together very cleverly over the period of time it takes you to play the game. in one story arc we have the heroic Demi-God Sphinx who is called to action by the powerful mage Imhotep, who is working for the almighy Osiris. He is agile, nimble, and quite elegant in his way of fighting the monsters that he comes across. He is trying to save the kingdom of Eygpt by travelling around numour worlds to try and stop the evil plans of Set the evil God who is trying to rule the worlds by force.
In the other story arc we have the Prince Tutenkamun who on his brithday was cursed by his brother and almost killed, until Sphinx briefly stopped the ritual done to him before he was completly killed. Now he is a mummy that can walk, jump crawl and even do reconnaissance inside the evil Sets castle without him even knowing he is there. If anyone has played Wario land 2 will fell right at home when controlling the mummy, he cannot be killed because he is in not some many words already dead, he can be affected by the elements, like being set on fire, electricuted, or even sliced into 3, all to solve the numourous puzzles inside the castle walls to help in Sphinxs quest. He is hilarious to put it frankly.
Overall this is a action, adventure and even a platformer that is not to be missed at all if you own a Gamecube, Playstation 2, or even an Xbox (*cough* God forbid *cough*).

Orc slashing fun with Aragorn
The Return of the King is basically the follow up to the Two Towers computer game and takes up pretty much where the other left of, at Helms Deep

In fact this is the first level in which you play as a new character Gandalf, as it is a tutorial level you cant die and will break you into the game before the real action begins. You have the choice of 3 different paths, the path of the wizard- Gandalf, the path of the King- Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, and the path of the Hobbits- Frodo and Sam. This adds a new twist to it as before in Two Towers you could choose between Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli but now you can have wizards and hobbits to play as.

The gameplay is "kill anything that moves and is not an allie", which means Orcs, Uruk-Ai, Trolls and even the Nazgul are included. However there is sometimes so many enemies that you are quickly overwhemled and when surrounded by 10 Uruk-Ai you know you are going to die. That was the biggest problem with the game as it is stupidly diffcult, after getting up from being hit only to watch your character get knocked straight back down over and over again gets very frustrating and can ruin the game.

However you then get to levels like Minas-Tirith, Cirith-Ungol and Pelenor Fields which are fantastic levels to play through. After you complete the game you can play any level as any character including the 3 unlockable ones, which means you can take Frodo to Paths of the Dead or Gimli to Osgiliath. This all goes to complement the level up system as each character levels up when they recieve experience points and can buy new abilitys and combos to make the game more enjoyable. To make things better a co-op mode has been put in which is fantastic and a joy to play.

Return of the King is a great game which is let down by an evil difficulty and some dodgy camera angles, but the co-op and level up system will keep you coming back for more.

Return of the King
Not too bad a game, just a shame that its so repetitive. Looks nice enough, with clips from the film, but could have had a bit more variety in the gameplay.
